Join respiratory managers and educators at the AARC Summer Forum in Phoenix, AZ offering in-depth information and strategies for the leaders in our profession. Learn in 4 days the techniques, tips and technology to help you run your department or classroom effectively and prepare RTs for success in our quickly evolving health care system and earn up to 15.55 hours of continuing education credit (CRCE®) credits.
Managers that attend will receive the rare opportunity to gain an added edge by engaging in our new Health Care & Leadership Consultant Workshops—where specialized consultants will focus on the View from the C-Suite, discussing consulting engagements, successes and pitfalls. How does a consultant evaluate a department? How should managers prepare and become involved in the process? Managers will learn first hand what to do and not to do—directly from Deloitte Consulting. In addition to our consultant workshops, managers will also attend our comprehensive RT management sessions that will cover topics ranging from staff engagement, to readmission reductions, leadership across the continuum and everything in between.
Educators that attend will find our sessions essential to building and maintaining a successful and sustainable RT program and curriculum. Sessions will include our CoARC’s Meet the Commission covering new or pending changes to accreditation standards and the NBRC-sponsored lecture, which will explore criterion validation of the therapist multiple choice and clinical simulation examinations.
In addition, attendees also have the option to come a day early for the pre-Summer Forum sessions. This year's new special session—“Focus on the Future: Respiratory Therapy Program Administration”—is an inter-collaborative session between the AARC, CoARC, and NBRC. This session will be highly interactive and offer educators insights on how outcome measures and academic expectations are developed. Best practices for academic program development will be shared.
