  • Carol-Aynn Knott comments on CPAP therapy for sleep disorders in this article on MPNnow.com out of Rochester, NY, noting the treatment can be hard to get used to, but is worth the effort. “I have seen such improvement in the quality of life for many patients,” she was quoted as saying. “I always try to stress that when someone is just getting started.”

  • Margaret Chaika receives kudos for being named the AARC Continuing Care-Rehabilitation Section Specialty Practitioner of the Year in this article in the Fremont, CA, Argus. • Paul Sherman is featured in this press release for traveling to Washington, DC, with the AARC PACT in March to educate members of Congress about the AARC’s Medicare Respiratory Therapy Initiative. The press release was issued by the California Society for Respiratory Care.
  • We were especially glad to see this article in the Harrisburg, PA, Patriot-News noting the return of Debra Morrison’s 1-year-old goldendoodle, Monroe. The good news comes on the heels of previous news reports detailing an attack on Debra that resulted in the temporary loss of the pooch. Luckily, Debra was not hurt, and now Monroe is safe and sound back at home as well.

  • John Darin is noted for leading a discussion on pulmonary health and rehabilitation in this article in the Royal Oak, MI, Mirror. “I had 7 wonderful senior ladies attend, and it went very well, with many educational materials, and screening testing,” John told us after the session, emphasizing the size of the group isn’t as important as the information provided. “We do what we can, one set of lungs at a time.”
  • Randy Baker comments on his school bus exhaust study in this article in the Atlanta, GA, Journal Constitution. “Parents need to be aware that the bus exhaust can cause some problems, or make their child’s asthma worse,” he was quoted as saying.
