National Respiratory Foundation Bestows Respiratory Care Literary Awards

Dallas, TX (December 19, 2012) —The American Respiratory Foundation (ARCF) honored six respiratory therapists with their prestigious Respiratory Care Literary Awards at the largest national meeting of respiratory therapists held each year.

The following individuals were recipients:

Jeffrey M. Haynes, RRT, RPFT, resides in Pembroke, NH, was awarded the Dr. Allen DeVilbiss Literary Award. This literary award recognizes the best paper published in the science journal Respiratory Care between November and October. In order to be considered the paper must address new technology or a new application of current technology in respiratory care. DeVilbiss Health Care, Inc., established an endowment to fund the Dr. Allen DeVilbiss Literary Award.

The following five individuals received the IKARIA Literary Award This literary award recognizes the best paper by a first-time author published in the science journal Respiratory Care between November and October. The award is funded by an endowment from IKARIA.
