HHS Opportunities

The Department of Health and Human Services has reached out to the AARC to promote three new service opportunities:

  • The Office of Disease Prevention and Health Promotion is accepting applications for a service fellow to work as a member of the Health Communication and e-Health Team. Candidates must have a graduate degree in communication, public health, health education, or another relevant area, along with health communication/education and ehealth skills. Eligible applicants may apply by submitting a completed application form and resume/CV via email to brenda.bogley@hhs.gov. The application deadline is June 4.   • The National Center for Health Statistics is seeking two professionals for positions related to Healthy People 2020: a senior analyst to advance the innovative methodological work on summary measures of population health and assessing health disparities/health inequity and a branch chief to manage the program for monitoring the indicators for the HHS healthy promotion and disease prevention initiatives. Candidates must have a doctoral degree or equivalent in biostatistics, epidemiology, demography, or a related field such as sociology, medicine, or biological or health sciences.
