You read your AARC publications to increase your knowledge about cutting edge developments in your profession. The print versions of AARC Times and RESPIRATORY CARE get the job done—but if you want the full benefit of these publications today, you gotta go digital!

Our digital version of AARC Times lets you search for keywords, jump between articles, print out PDF copies, make notes, share the content, and even look back in the archives. (Just put your cursor over the big icons at the top of the page to see what we mean.)

This flipbook-style publication also contains lots of hyperlinks throughout the pages, providing you with the additional information you need to stay on top of your game. You’ll even find videos embedded in the issues!

When it comes to RESPIRATORY CARE, we have even more to offer. Not only can you read the Journal in the same flipbook-style format as is available for AARC Times (with all the same great interactive tools), you can take advantage of some additional formats aimed at making your heavy duty research a snap.

First up is our new epubs ahead of print feature, which brings you the most current research findings, sometimes as soon as a couple of weeks after their acceptance. No more waiting months for the latest information!

Then we’ve also partnered with ingentaconnect—a web service that hosts online sites for many other leading journals—to bring you papers in both PDF and HTML formats.

The HTML format offers the most exciting new features—so many, in fact, that it might take a while to get up to speed. But we think you’ll agree it’s well worth the effort.

Let’s start with what you’ll find on the abstract page—

  • Click on the Articles that cite this article link at the bottom of the page to see how the article you are reading has been cited by other scholarly publications.
  • Hyperlinked keywords follow, giving you quick and easy access to other articles on the same topics—once you click, you can then sort the list by relevance and date of publication.
  • Choose Supplementary data for access to procedure videos, indexes, Excel spreadsheets, questionnaires, and other extras for that paper not available in the print version.
  • The More about this publication link provides a direct link to everything you might want to know about the Journal.
  • The Related content link lets you search for additional articles according to the publication, publisher, and authors.
  • The share buttons at the very bottom of the page make it easy to send a link to the article to your colleagues via Facebook or one of the many other social networking platforms out there today.

If you’re a Journal subscriber, you’ll also have access to the full paper in HTML, and that’s where things really get exciting—

  • Email the corresponding author using the direct link at the top of the article.
  • Use the Go to section tabs to quickly navigate between the various sections of the paper.
  • Click on the figure/table numbers to view full sized versions of the figures and tables.
  • Click on the reference numbers to go right to that reference in the reference list. (This also works for tables and figures.)
  • Take advantage of hyperlinked references that will take you right to the papers being referenced. Commonly known as “cross referencing,” this feature is boon to researchers and others who want to read more about the information cited in the paper at hand.
