A respiratory therapist and AARC Member Mary Follano was part of history last night, as she was chosen to ask her question of the presidential candidates at the televised town hall meeting from Hofstrau University.

Follano, from New York, posed a question to Gov. Romney about tax rates, credits and deductions. She asked, “Governor Romney, you have stated that if you’re elected president, you would plan to reduce the tax rates for all the tax brackets and that you would work with the Congress to eliminate some deductions in order to make up for the loss in revenue.” She went on to ask about some specific tax credits and deductions.

Debate

“We couldn’t be prouder that an AARC member is right there in the middle of an important event like this,” said Karen Stewart, AARC President.

You can read more about Mary in the Washington Post and see her ask the question in this short YouTube clip.
