• Jackie Richards offers some good advice for the parents of children with asthma in this article on the NBC-TV affiliate website out of Evansville, IN, about her asthma camp for kids. “If coughing is keeping them awake at night, then they may have more problems,” she was quoted as saying.

• Alan Dane Slaydon is noted for his reelection to the Beauregard Electric Cooperative, Inc. board of directors in this article in the Leesville, LA, Daily Leader. Alan will serve a three year term.

• Linda Nelson comments on a new treadmill purchased by the Chase County Hospital Foundation for use by cardiac rehab, pulmonary rehab, and physical therapy patients at her hospital in this article in the Imperial, NE, Republican. “We also use the treadmill to help pulmonary patients build up endurance and improve blood oxygen levels,” she was quoted as saying.

• Deborah Pierce’s unique “travel program” for pulmonary rehab patients is the topic of this article in the Battle Creek, MI, Enquirer. For the past eight years, patients in the program have been taking virtual trips around the world by racking up points for exercising. This year they’re “traveling” along the Great Wall of China.
