  • The team from Crafton Hills College in California took first place honors in the student division of our recent Sputum Bowl, and the accomplishment was noted in this article in the Highland Community News. Team members Jonathan Ayala, Daniel Ocampo, Timothy Stuart, and Charlie Crosby are pictured showing off their trophies.

  • Debbie Rathman is featured in a video included with this article in the Reading, PA, Eagle about a local man who became the first to undergo bronchial thermoplasty for the treatment of asthma at her hospital. Debbie is shown coaching the man through a pulmonary function test.
  • James Ginda is acknowledged for being the first RT in Rhode Island to receive the FAARC designation in this article in the Warwick Beacon. Jim says he is “extremely honored to have been named a fellow of the American Association for Respiratory Care and to represent Kent Hospital… Not only is this a personal accomplishment, but also one for the Respiratory Care Department at Kent, which I take great pride in.”
  • Students in John Payne’s RT program recently achieved a 100% pass rate on the CRT exam, and their accomplishment was featured in this article in the Vinton County Courier out of McArthur, OH.
  • A senior citizens group in Pam Hart’s community is hosting their annual Holiday Market, and Pam has been invited to speak on “Living with COPD.” The event was covered in this article in the Oxford, OH, Press.
