First Prizes Awarded in Membership Campaign

Earlier this year the AARC launched a new membership campaign with some great prizes to be awarded on a quarterly basis to renewing and new members alike. Now the first drawing has taken place, and two lucky members are enjoying a couple of pretty cool electronic devices.

Buff Harvey, CRT, won the iPad in the drawing for renewing members, and the first Kindle Fire went to Deb Sheffield, CRT.

An RT at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, LA, Harvey says she decided on the career after her mom died of congestive heart failure and COPD. “I was interested in learning more about the field of RT after observing the care they showed my mother,” she says.

An AARC member off and on throughout her career, Harvey says she especially appreciates the online courses available to earn continuing education and, of course, she was thrilled to receive her new iPad in the mail a week or so ago. “I think membership in the AARC is important to promote, support, and protect our field,” says the therapist.
 
Deb Sheffield was excited to receive her Kindle Fire too, and is also looking forward to exploring all of the benefits that await her as a new member of the AARC. The cardiopulmonary manager at Fulton County Medical Center in McConnellsburg, PA, hopes to put many of them to work as she continues to improve her department.
