AARC Reacts to Boston Marathon Bombings

Like people all over the world, AARC members watched in horror yesterday as two bombs wreaked havoc near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. Members of the Executive Office staff, Board of Directors, and members of the respiratory care community send their thoughts and prayers to all of those who have been affected by this tragedy, and we stand in solidarity with respiratory therapists in Boston hospitals as they work tirelessly alongside their fellow health care professionals to treat the injured.

We also want to commend the first responders on the scene. There to treat dehydration and the sprains, bumps, and bruises common at any running event, they quickly sprang into action to triage critically injured patients and stabilize them for transfer to local hospitals.
