AARC member Maria del Carmen Lindstrum, RRT, from El Paso, TX, is the lucky winner in our contest for comp registration to the ACCS prep course in Las Vegas this fall. Maria’s name was selected at random from among those who had already registered for the session.

If you have yet to register for this course, however, no worries! We’re announcing a new contest today for another comp registration. This time the prize winner will be selected from among those who have registered for the course and thrown their support behind the Medicare Respiratory Therapist Access Act, now pending in Congress as HR 2619.

So register for the course and then write your members of Congress (both House and Senate) asking them to support HR 2619. Get it all done by Aug. 9 and we’ll place your name in the running.

The ACCS prep course, which will take place Sept. 18-19, is aligned with the NBRC test matrix to ensure participants are fully prepared to sit for and successfully pass the Adult Critical Care Specialty examination. The new credential was specifically developed to help respiratory therapists who work in the critical care setting demonstrate the value of their services to physicians, nurses, administrators, and others in their institutions.
