ACCS Prep Course Drawing: We Have a Winner!

Nicky Anspach, RRT-NPS, is the lucky winner in our drawing for free registration to the ACCS Prep Course coming up Sept. 18–19 in Las Vegas. Nicky’s name was pulled from among everyone who pre-registered for the event AND wrote a letter of support to Congress for HR 2619.

“I am so excited to take this ACCS class!” says Nicky. “It is exciting to learn/review information, and I am sure that it will increase my value as an RT.”

A therapist at North Cochise Community Hospital in Wilcox, AZ, Nicky has been an AARC member since her student days in the late 1980s and believes membership has helped her be more aware of national respiratory issues. It’s also nudged her to achieve more as an RT.

Most recently, she’s been impressed by the Association’s efforts to promote legislation to widen access to RTs with the Medicare Respiratory Therapist Access Act. “HR 2619 will hopefully be of value to the patients, the medical community, and to all of us,” she says.

She encourages her fellow RTs to get on board with the AARC and professional development as well. “Be proud of your work,” says the therapist. “It is a calling and a privilege.”
