Members of the Long-Term Care, Management, Neonatal-Pediatrics, and Surface & Air Transport Sections can read the Fall issues of their Bulletins online now.

Click on the following links to access these great publications–

Long-Term Care: Lorraine Bertuola congratulates our 2013 Specialty Practitioner of the Year in her Notes column, and from there a section member offers her take on working in a LTACH, while another shares ten characteristics that every RT needs to succeed in today’s more competitive job market. We close out the issue with a look at secondhand smoke and its effects on children with respiratory problems.

Management: Section Chair Bill Cohagen shares some interesting insights into the new and more competitive world of RT hiring and we have two great articles–the first looks at what it takes to start a pulmonary rehabilitation program while the second delves into three key tenants that must govern our departments today. We also have a nice profile of our 2013 Specialty Practitioner of the Year.

Neonatal-Pediatrics: Section Chair Cyndi White updates us on section activities in her Notes column and we also have a great feature on all of the amazing neo-peds members who were nominated for our Specialty Practitioner of the Year Award this year—including our winner. The issues closes out with an informative look at the health effects of passive smoke on the kids in our care.

Surface & Air Transport: Section Chair Billy Hutchinson introduces our 2013 Specialty Practitioner of the Year in his Notes column and we have a wonderful member spotlight on a member from Oklahoma. Editor Steve Sittig rounds out the issue with part two of his series on the use of sucrose to manage neonatal pain.

The Sleep Bulletin is on hiatus this issue due to some family health issues on the part of the section chair and editor.
