Robert Fishwick

• Robert Fishwick was part of the Hurricane Sandy relief effort last fall and his experiences were covered in this article in the Valley News out of Vermont. As a member of the NH-1 DMAT, he helped to set up five portable field hospital tents at Lehman College in New York City and care for a wide range of patients. “Everyone here has just been absolutely amazing,” he was quoted as saying.

• Kathe Delorme celebrated a big anniversary late last year, as the cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs she co-founded along with a nurse at her hospital back in December of 2007 celebrated their fifth year of operation. The anniversary was noted in this article in the Tampa Bay, FL, Times.

• Susan Rennie touts a yoga-related form of diaphragmatic breathing called “Bellows Breath” in this article in the Fort Myers, FL, News-Press. “Oxygen is the source of all energy and activity in the body. The better we breathe, the better we think, pump, digest and heal,” she was quoted as saying.

• Bradley Franklin and his colleagues in the RT program at Crafton Hills College just graduated 27 new therapists and the class was recognized for its achievement in this article in the Press-Enterprise out of San Bernardino, CA.
  

• Another 14 new RTs walked across the stage during graduation ceremonies for Chyane Collins’ program at Southern State Community College, and they received kudos for their accomplishments in this article in the Advocate out of Washington Court House, OH.

• Dr. Bob Graham fills his community in on RSV and how it affects infants and young children in this article and video on the CBS-TV website out of Phoenix, AZ. “Most of the sickest babies come in mid-January to mid-March,” he was quoted as saying. The article goes on to note that Arizona is seeing a 76% increase in cases over last year.
