- Dennis Maid’s pulmonary rehabilitation patients will benefit from a $1500 grant from Walmart and the good news was announced in this article in North Country Now out of Potsdam, NY. The money will be used to fund educational materials.
- Jennifer Schoolfield talks about the new lab equipment acquired for her RT program in this article in the Lawton, OK, Constitution. "It makes us more relevant in the field," she was quoted as saying.
- Anna Jones urges her state legislators to pass a comprehensive, statewide smoke-free law in this letter to the editor in the Corbin, KY, Times Tribune. “Every year in Kentucky, nearly 1,000 people die from the effects of secondhand smoke exposure . . . It is no longer acceptable to harm someone else with tobacco smoke,” she was quoted as saying.
