Members of the Long-Term Care, Management, Neonatal-Pediatrics, Sleep, and Surface & Air Transport Sections can read the Summer issues of their Bulletins online now.

Click on the following links to access these great publications –

Long-Term Care: Our Summer issue kicks off with a Notes column from Section Chair Lorraine Bertuola and from there we have informative articles on measurable outcomes of the RT in the LTC ventilator setting, the importance of documentation, and the FDA’s role in keeping the drug supply safe.

Management: Section Chair Bill Cohagen recaps the recent Summer Forum in his Notes column and we also have two interesting articles. The first covers a new program aimed at reducing costs for advanced resuscitation training while the second explains how the AACVPR Outpatient Pulmonary Rehabilitation Registry can help you collect outcomes on your PR program.

Neonatal-Pediatrics: A Notes column from Section Chair Natalie Napolitano introduces the content for this issue, which includes some informative information on containing the B. Cepecia outbreak and an interesting look at current strategies for pediatric lung recruitment.

Sleep: Karla Smith, who has recently been appointed to serve as interim chair,  introduces herself to the membership in her inaugural Notes column and we follow with two articles. The first looks at sleep duration as a marker for overall health while the second is a personal story from a member who was recently diagnosed with sleep apnea and is now undergoing treatment with CPAP.

Surface & Air Transport: Co-Editor Steve Sittig gets the issue started with an informative Notes column and then provides a great overview of transport-related lectures coming up at AARC Congress 2014 in Las Vegas. We round out the issue with a short quiz you can use to test your neonatal resuscitation skills.
