COPD Awareness Month: Resources from the NHLBI

COPD Awareness Month is coming up in November, so now is the perfect time to plan your awareness activities and reach out to folks in your community about hosting events associated with the month.

The National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute’s Learn More Breathe Better campaign is making a range of resources available to help you get started. Visit their Campaign Resources page to find:

• Print and radio PSAs
• Fact sheets for patients in English and Spanish
• A Speaker’s Guide to help with peer-to-peer presentations and public/patient education
• A COPD Essentials reference card you can distribute to your colleagues inside and outside of respiratory care.
• A fact sheet to help you start the COPD conversation with your patients.

All these great resources can easily be customized for your department’s localized use.
