He recently accompanied a group of students to the state capitol building, where they put on a demonstration using a human patient simulator.

• Wendy Ayscue announces a new scholarship for RT students at her school in this article in the Greenville, NC, Reflector. The scholarship will go to a student with demonstrated financial need and is named after long time medical director Dr. Robert Shaw. “There simply aren’t enough words to express how thankful we are to have had his involvement with the program for more than 30 years now,” Wendy was quoted as saying.

• Laura Huck is pictured trying on shoes during a local event aimed at raising funds for mental health issues in this article on THECITYWIRE.com. “This is a great opportunity because there’s not enough done in this area for mental health,” she was quoted as saying.

• Ron Cothran is one of six people who CNN says will inspire us this year. Ron recently had gastric bypass surgery and is now preparing for the Nautica Malibu Triathlon in September.
