Frank Salvatore is spearheading our new membership drive, and he explains why we all need to keep our affiliation with the AARC going strong in 2013 in a new video on the campaign webpage. Myers to Participate in U.S. News & World Report Twitter Chat
AARC Associate Executive Director Tim Myers was recently interviewed by U.S. News & World Report for a feature story on the top 100 jobs for 2013 (RT came in at No. 24 overall and No. 13 in the health care category). He’s also scheduled to participate in a live, hour-long Twitter chat hosted by the publication on Jan. 30 at 1:30 p.m. (EST). Use #bestjobs2013 to take part.

You Must Activate Your Online Subscription to Respiratory Care
As part of their membership, all AARC members have free online access to the Journal. The trial period for the new Journal website will end on Feb. 4, and to continue getting their free online access all AARC members must activate their subscriptions before that date. That can be done in just 5 easy steps.

The February issue of AARC Times includes an article on the NBRC’s new Adult Critical Care Specialist exam that features some first person accounts by AARC members who have already taken the test. Read about their experience with the ACCS in our “More of the Story” feature online.

Allergy & Asthma Health Publishes Winter Edition
The Winter issue of our online consumer magazine is available now, so check it out and then direct your patients to the link too so they can take advantage of some great articles on lung health written by AARC members. Stories this time range from New Year’s Resolutions for folks with asthma and allergies to a look at airport smoking areas and why everyone should stay as far away from them as possible.

The Adult Acute Care, Continuing Care/Rehabilitation, Diagnostics, Education, and Home Care Sections have just published the Winter editions of their section Bulletins. If you’re a member of one or more of these groups, click on the link for direct access.
