Virtual Lobby Week: Keep Those Letters Coming!
More than 6500 messages have been sent to members of Congress during the first four days of our Virtual Lobby Week–up from just about 2000 at the same time last year. A big shout out goes to Michigan, California, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and North Carolina for sending the most so far. Our goal is to have 10,000 messages sent to members of Congress before our PACT representatives hit Washington, DC, next Tuesday. Click and send now.

Times Spotlight on Jeremy Parks
AARC member Jeremy Parks will explain what it’s like to be an RT living with cystic fibrosis in an upcoming issue of AARC Times, but we’re sharing the story with everyone now through a special online “Times Spotlight.”

Pulmonary Rehab Takes Center Stage
Chronic respiratory patients depend on the life-enhancing care and services they receive through pulmonary rehabilitation, and next week you are likely to see many news stories about patients whose lives have been turned around by PR. As the nation marks Pulmonary Rehabilitation Week, we also encourage everyone who works in this important specialty to check out some of the great PR-related benefits of belonging to the AARC as well.

RESPIRATORY CARE Webcast March 15
To help more members engage with the original research published in the Journal, we’re kicking off a new series of Journal Webcasts, and the first one will take place next Friday, March 15. So click over now and sign up to hear Keith Lamb, RRT-ACCS, discuss the Editor’s Pick in this month’s Respiratory Care. 1 CRCE.

Checklists Target Patient Safety
Health care organizations all over the country are marking Patient Safety Awareness Week this week, and the AARC has some great resources to help you introduce greater safety into your facility. Our Patient Safety Checklists were developed specifically to assist you in reducing the risk of oxygen desaturation during transport within the hospital, and identifying adult patients at risk for ICU readmission.

RESPIRATORY CARE Launches App
Our new app for iPad and iPhone features the last few issues of the Journal, with new articles released weekly. Browse abstracts and view complete full text articles in the app and as a PDF, or download the full issue. Here’s a review from an AARC member who gave it 5 Stars: …I can now read the Journal everywhere I go!” Click here to download the new app.

Good Press: AARC Members in the News
You’ll find lots of great stories in this edition–including one about a member who’s making a real difference in the lives of people who need lung transplants.
