PACT Returns from Hill Visits with HR 941
Members of the AARC’s Political Advocacy Contact Team completed
their Lobby Day visits on Capitol Hill on Tuesday, but they didn’t
go home empty-handed. Thanks to their efforts–and the efforts of
all of you who wrote your members of Congress during our Virtual Lobby
Week–the Medicare
Respiratory Therapy Initiative has now been introduced into
the House of Representatives by Rep. Mike Ross of Arkansas.
What’s next? In order to keep the momentum going, we’re urging
all of you to continue using our Capitol
Connection website to write your House members asking them
to sign on as co-sponsors of HR 941 and your Senators to ask
them to introduce the legislation into the Senate.
Respiratory Care Updates Website with New Reading Options
If you haven’t visited RCJournal.com

with cross linking to references, and a new ePub ahead of print feature
providing fast access to accepted papers.

Education Annual Deadline Extended
Every year the AARC publishes the Respiratory Care Education Annual to provide a forum for educators to share everything from original research to point-of-view essays. The submission deadline for the 2011 edition has just been extended to Mar. 28, so if you have a paper you believe is worthy of this refereed journal, consider submitting it today.
Create Your Own Community on AC
AARConnect is all about getting together with your fellow AARC members,
and thanks to our “create a new community” feature, you can
do it too. Members have already teamed up to form everything from an alumni
group for folks who graduated from the same RT school to a community for
people who ride motorcycles. All member-created groups feature a dedicated
discussion list and a resource library where you can share documents,
pictures, slide presentations, and more.
