April is for Allergies
AARC’s Year of the Lung activities are ramping up. We’ll be rounding out our full scope of services for Year of the Lung, but in April we are focusing on allergies. Keep watch as we continue building our resource page.


RT Licensure Enacted in the Philippines
Nearly 20 years of work came to fruition on March 19, when the president of the Philippines signed a new law calling for licensure of respiratory therapists.


NBRC Seeks Input for New Exam
A select group of critical care RTs met with the NBRC earlier this year to begin writing items for the upcoming critical care exam.


Patient Voices Added to COPD Educator Course
The AARC is getting ready to launch a new online COPD Educator Course, and the patient perspective will be part of the mix. Videotaping took place in Denver a couple of weeks ago.


Next Week's Webcast Focuses on the Patient
Register now for next Wednesday’s webcast, “It’s All About the Patient,” by patient advocate John W. Walsh. Walsh will explain how patients view their chronic lung disease and provide tips RTs can use to help them overcome barriers to quality care. AARC members earn one FREE CRCE for attending the live session.
