AARC Disaster Relief Fund Opened
Members in the southeastern U.S. who have been affected by yesterday's devastating tornadoes may have access to the Disaster Relief Fund.

CDC’s National Asthma Program Gets AARC Support
The AARC has joined other leading organizations, including the American College of Chest Physicians and American Thoracic Society, in writing to members of Congress in support of the National Asthma Control Program. The letter specifically urges Congress to maintain the program as a standalone program and ensure it has adequate funding to continue its important work in helping communities make a difference in the lives of people with asthma.

We have lots of great stories in this edition, including two TV videos–one featuring a member who talks about the impact of high sulfur dioxide levels in her community and the other with a member who explains how shift work may have contributed to air traffic controllers falling asleep on the job.
