Swine Flu Webcast Coming Up on Monday
AARC member and Vice Chair of the National Commission on Children and Disasters Dr. Michael Anderson will be presenting a webcast on swine flu next Monday, May 11, that’s geared specifically to respiratory therapists.

Given the timely nature of this webcast, it is being offered FREE OF CHARGE to all respiratory therapists. No registration is necessary.


Resources on Swine Flu Updated
The AARC continues to keep watch for materials to help you deal with the H1N1 virus. One of those comes from the Cochrane Library, which has opened their evidence-based information for free on flu prevention and treatment.


Simulation Task Force Welcomes AARC Rep
Rob Chatburn will serve as the AARC’s delegate to a new Simulation Task Force aimed at providing some oversight for simulation-based education in the health care professions.


Pediatrics Publishes RT Research
Pediatrics readers are learning all about a respiratory therapist-driven ventilator protocol in their May issue. Developed by Canadian researchers, the protocol reduced weaning times and days on mechanical ventilation for preterm infants.
