URM Revision Is Most Comprehensive Yet
This year's revision of the Uniform Reporting Manual covers facilities from acute care to rehab and everything in between. The survey closes May 31, so we need the time standards from your facility now. We're asking managers to read about and begin the process on our special reporting site.

Radon Forum Seeks RT Participation
New York officials are hosting a Radon Medical Forum in June, and respiratory therapists are invited to attend. AARC member Ron Jacobs will be speaking on the lung cancer health risks posed by the gas and how to communicate those risks to patients.

Upcoming Webcasts Address Sleep, Checklists
We have two great webcasts coming up soon: Suzanne Bollig will speak on home sleep apnea testing on May 23, and Charles Durbin, MD, will address the role of checklists in reducing critical care readmissions on June 6. Register now for these informative programs and earn one FREE CRCE for attending the live sessions.

Open Forum: By Respiratory Professionals, for Respiratory Professionals
Sometimes the most valuable research out there is the research conducted by your peers at the bedside. The Open Forum at the AARC Congress is the best place in respiratory care to present that type of information. If you have a project or best practice you’d like to get out to a wider audience, take advantage of this great forum. Abstract submission for the 2012 Forum in New Orleans this Nov. 10–13 is underway now through June 1, and submissions may be made online through our Easy Street submission portal

Respiratory care is increasingly becoming a global phenomenon, and the 2012 AARC International Fellowship Program is a great place for folks to experience it. We’re taking applications for Fellows now through June 1, and we’re also looking for U.S. RTs who would be willing to host a Fellow in their cities this fall. Check out the link and then consider how you can take advantage of this unparalleled opportunity to share RT knowledge across borders.

Research and Scholarship Funds Available Here
Need funds to finish school or conduct research important to the profession? Then consider applying for an ARCF undergraduate award, post-graduate award, or research fellowship. You can find all the details by clicking on the link–but don’t delay. The application deadline is June 15. Winners receive a monetary award, along with registration and airfare to attend AARC Congress 2012 in New Orleans, Nov. 10–13.
