DRIVE4COPD Has a Contest Winner
While we ramp up for our Adopt-a-Company program under the auspices of DRIVE4COPD, they have named the winner of another of this year’s components, a songwriting competition.

Two Weeks Till Open Forum Deadline
You still have time to write and submit an abstract for the Open Forum. June 1 is the deadline. If yours is chosen, you’ll deliver your presentation at the AARC Congress, Nov. 5–8 in Tampa.

Cystic Fibrosis Institute Lends Its Voice
The Cystic Fibrosis Institute is adding its voice to support for HR 941. CFI Founder Steven R. Boas, MD, recently wrote a letter to Congress about the value that respiratory therapists bring to Americans living with CF.

ARCF Reaches Out to Community
You may not be aware of all that the American Respiratory Care Foundation does to support the profession, yet its influence has been felt on this profession through the scholarships, fellowships, and literary awards it gives. They ask all AARC members to consider participating in their growth campaign.

If you’re a member of the Adult Acute Section (or if you want to be) here are some new services just for you. A Virtual Consult Team awaits your questions. Volunteer your services, or tap into mentors willing to help you. Or join the Adult Acute Journal Club where they will be discussing respiratory care literature once a month. And finally a case study is bandied about on their usual list. If this makes you jealous and you want to join in, you can! - provided that you join the Adult Acute Care Specialty Section.
