Time is Running Out on Summer Meetings Deadlines
The Summer Meetings are coming up soon, July 16–18 at the beautiful Marco Island Marriott Beach Resort in Marco Island, FL. And that means deadlines are looming:
- Friday, June 25: Last day to make hotel reservations at the AARC meeting rate.
- Monday, June 28: Last day to register for the Community Input Phase: 2015 and Beyond Planning session (the session is free, but you must pre-register to attend).
- Monday, June 28: Last day to register for the Current Issues in Mechanical Ventilation course.
We Want a Picture of You
We’re looking for pictures of you! These are pictures for the front page of our new social networking site, AARConnect. Take a picture of your entire staff. Take a picture of yourself doing something fun. Take a picture of you and a couple other AARC members at a state society gathering. Send one now while you’re thinking of it to Sherry Milligan.
Summer Webcasts Sizzle with Hot Topics
Summer is a great time to earn some FREE CRCEs, and you can do just that by taking advantage of our next three webcasts:
- Toni Rodriguez, EdD, RRT, will address “Cultural Competence in Healthcare: Improving Quality of Life Through Better Understanding” next Wed., June 30.
- Robert L. Chatburn, RRT-NPS, FAARC, will present a great overview on “BiLevel Ventilation: Theory and Application” on Wed., July 7, in a session sponsored by Drager.
- Robert C. Cohn, MD, MBA, FAAP, FCCP, FAARC, will address “Improving Control of Asthma Symptoms” on Wed., Aug. 18, in a session sponsored by Monaghan.
AARC Signs On to Letter Supporting Quitline Funding
Quitlines really do help people kick the habit. The AARC would like to see more folks take advantage of them, and that’s why we’re joining other organizations in encouraging CMS to approve Medicaid coverage for these services.
