App Lovers Will Love This
Summer Forum attendees can take advantage of a new app to help them navigate the places, times, and locations of meetings (and meet-ups) at the Summer Forum. If you’re going to Vail, have a smartphone, and want an app for that, you’re in luck.

AARC Times is Seeking Medical Missions Stories
The December issue of the magazine will be devoted to international respiratory care, and our editors would like to include some stories about AARC members who have gone on medical missions abroad. So if you have a story to share, contact editor Marsha Cathcart at cathcart@aarc.org. The submission deadline is Aug. 20.

AARC Applauds Durbin for Joining Effort 
Sen. Richard Durbin is joining the COPD cause by accepting the co-chair position (with Sen. Mike Crapo) of the Senate side Congressional COPD Caucus.

RT Shines at HOSA Conference
Orange Coast College faculty and students represented the AARC well at the recent Health Occupations Students of America conference in Anaheim, making sure the high school students and counselors in attendance learned all about the wonderful career opportunities in the profession.

Telemedicine Rule Change Could Impact RTs
CMS has revised its rules on telemedicine practice privileges and the result may be greater opportunities for RTs to get involved in follow up care for patients with chronic lung conditions.
