Health Care Reform is on the Table: Now is the Time to Speak Up for the Profession
Yes, we asked you to “write now” in support of respiratory care legislation in last week’s News Now. But it deserves another push, because Congress is in the process of shaping their health care reform bills as we speak. So click on the link, learn more about it, and then call or e-mail your elected officials to urge them to include our bill in the final package.


AARC Goes to Bat for Rare Disease Research
We’ve just signed on to a letter to key members of Congress asking them to support “special consideration” for rare disease research in the reauthorization of the Small Business Innovation Research program. If approved, the move could encourage more small biotech companies to tackle diseases the big pharmaceutical companies usually bypass.
