Proud to Be a Respiratory Therapist
Respiratory Care Week, Oct. 21–27, is the time to tell your story about your role in restoring and improving lung health to people’s lives. Use the RC Week Store to tell that story with decorative items and gifts for your colleagues. For 2012, the AARC has partnered with Jim Coleman Ltd. to offer more products at all price points and more T-shirt options (styled for men and women). RC Week Contact Information: Store URL http://www.aarc.org/rcstore; Telephone 847-963-8100; Fax 847-963-8200; Email service@jimcolemanltd.com.
Meet the Candidates
It’s time to learn about the AARC members who are interested
in serving your association through elected positions. Read about all
the candidates for officer, director, and several Specialty Section roles.
Then get ready to vote beginning Sept. 4.
Plan
Your AARC Congress 2012 Experience
Now you can review the full program and get your travel and registration
all set for a meeting that will prove to be anything but traditional!
What does that mean? It's where the science of our past collides with
the changes of our present to create the vision for our future. All in
New Orleans, Nov. 10-13.
Have You Hosted a COPD Awareness Event or Activity? Then Tell
AARC Times!
AARC Times is planning a special COPD issue in November to mark COPD Awareness
Month and we’d love to have some stories from the membership to
showcase all the ways you’ve raised awareness of this chronic lung
condition in your communities this year. If you have a COPD awareness
event or activity to share, email a brief synopsis of what you and/or
your group did (300 words or less), along with 1-2 high resolution pictures
(photo file sizes of 2 MB and up), to DebBunch@aol.com
and we’ll consider it for publication. The deadline for submitting
stories is Friday, August 24.
Welcome, International Fellows, Thank-You, City Hosts
It’s official: the AARC will welcome seven International Fellows
to the U.S. this fall to tour RT facilities in two cities before attending
AARC Congress 2012 in New Orleans. Visit the story to see if a Fellow
is visiting your city.
