National Ventilator Survey: YOU Can Make a Difference!

CDC Turns to AARC to Train RTs on LTV 1200
The CDC has added the LTV 1200 to the Strategic National Stockpile and has asked the AARC to help train the nation’s RTs on the use of the device. We’ll be doing just that on Sept. 22 in a special webcast. Members earn 1.5 free CRCEs for participating in the live version.

A new bill introduced into Congress by Rep. Kenny Marchant (R-TX) is seeking to improve Medicaid coverage for orphan drugs—including those used to treat the hereditary lung condition, Alpha-1—and the AARC is on board.


FDA Appoints Director for New Center for Tobacco Products
The AARC welcomes Dr. Lawrence Deyton to his new post as director of the FDA’s new Center for Tobacco Products. The center will be working to implement the law signed earlier this summer authorizing the FDA to regulate tobacco products.
