AARC Reaches Out to Seniors at AARP Event
Your Association was front and center at the recent Orlando@50+ event hosted by the AARP. Working with our partners in the Drive4COPD campaign and COPD Foundation, we reached more than 600 people with spirometry testing and medication and device education.

“Inspiring” Moment on the Oregon Trail
Speaking of RC Week, we asked you to pull on your official 2010 RC Week t-shirts and snap a picture while visiting a local landmark. Karen Schell did just that on her weekend motorcycle excursion. See where see went.

Use Our RC Week Press Releases to Get the Word Out
With RC Week only days away now, here’s another great way to mark the occasion: customize our 2010 RC Week Press Releases with your own information and send them to your local media outlets.

Did you Get Your 10?
We're asking each AARC to get 10 people screened in the Drive4COPD program. An easy way to reach out is through our "send-an-email" program.

Management of the Difficult Airway
Earn 1 CRCE for each of your staff members with the latest Professor’s Rounds topic on DVD. Dr. William Hurford provides a detailed review of new airway management techniques that either avoid laryngoscopy (i.e., supraglottic airways) or improve visualization (i.e., video laryngoscopy), including demonstrations. These new techniques hold promise to improve patient safety and outcome. Management of the Difficult Airway: Current Practice and Future Directions is available now in the AARC Store as an individual DVD or part of the 2010 AARC Professor’s Rounds series.

Good Press: AARC Members in the News
You’ll find lots of great media coverage in this edition, including features on members who are drawing attention to the Drive4COPD campaign, a look at our 2010 Jimmy A. Young Medalist, and a great piece on a legendary AARC member who will turn 100 next year.
