National Respiratory Care Week begins on Sunday and we have lots of great ways for you to share your activities. AARC Takes Patient Safety Pledge
The AARC has joined the Partnership for Patients initiative to help meet two key patient safety goals set forth by CMS: decrease preventable hospital-acquired conditions and reduce preventable complications during the transition from one care setting to another. HME Industry Seeks Revision of ABN Policy for CPAP
The home care industry has asked CMS to permit home care companies to present Medicare patients with an advanced beneficiary notice at the start of CPAP therapy so patients will know from the beginning of therapy that Medicare will no longer pay for the rental of the equipment after 60 days if the patient is non-compliant with the therapy.
